Below shows our adult quads lined up. The quads are 150cc and fully automatic. They are capable of 45mph and handle superbly on our track.
Below shows the back of the quads and displays the nobbly tyres that keep the quads gripped to the dirt around the tight cornering on the track. Also shown is the adjustable shock absorber that can be adjusted dependant on weather and terrain conditions.
The view below is of the centre section of the track. It is a fast section with various turns and cambered corners. It is very slippy in the wet yet very stable in the dry. It ducks under a tree canopy before dropping into a low tight section.
The picture below shows straight but bumpy section leading up to the corner pictured above. Although not clear in the pictures, the track cambers in both directions quite severely and relies on the rider maintaining control of the quad.
This corner is the tight but equally fast if taken correctly. The floor is very bumpy and makes the ride quite tricky. In the wet, this corner is very slippy and the rider gets very dirty! Prior to this corner is a long straight, so application of the brakes is essential to make the corner.
This picture shows a part of the track that is optional on the day. This is because it is low down near a river and can get very wet. While some riders would love this section, some riders prefer not to take this corner and cut it short. The corner undulates up and right down and twists between three very large trees before dipping down and entering the back straight under the trees.
The picture below shows the long narrow section that runs along the back of the track and under some low trees. There is a passing point half way down on the right hand side for slower riders to pull into to allow faster riders through. At the end of this stretch, there is a slight jump followed by a small bridge.
This is another view of the back section but from the other end. It looks flat on the picture, but in fact is quite bumpy and tight.
Below shows a section cut out of a large wooded area. It is both tight and dark for the rider. This is immediately after the small bridge section and then drops down into a jump.
This is the view coming out of the pit lane. As you can see, there is a long straight where speeds of up to 45mph can be obtained. At the end of the strip is a sharp 180 degree hairpin bend which in the wet is great fun!
